The town of Razlog is considered to be the economic, cultural and administrative center of the Razlog Municipality. It is intimately hugged between two hills – Golak to the north and Sarovitza to the south. The beautiful landscaped green areas and the panoramic views of Rila, Pirin and the Rhodope mountains all add to the unforgettable experience for the visitors. One can get in touch with the glorious nature in the resort areas Betolovoto, Predel, Katarino. Warm mineral springs are abundant in the village of Banya, area of Razhdavets near Bachevo village and Eleshnitsa village. Most of them are appropriate for healing and relaxation.
Razlog holds one of the biggest folklore festivals in Bulgaria – “Pirin Sings”. It is being organized in the Predel area every second year at the end of August. It celebrates the richness and variety of folklore heritage in the Pirin region: songs, dances, customs, traditional costumes and tales. Every year the Predel area holds the “Rock Predel” festival. It is one of the first rock festivals in Bulgaria and is meant to be the Bulgarian Woodstock. It is organized with bands from Blagoevgrad, Razlog and the region. The town of Razlog takes pride in the impressive Kukeri (mummers) celebrations on January 1st every year. People dressed in goat fir gather to celebrate the New Year and to chase the evil spirits. This is a festival which is worth seeing for everybody.
